Podcast FAQ

What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an audio show (similar to a radio broadcast) that is delivered via an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed automatically to your PC.

How do I get started?

All you need to get started is podcasting software. Once you download and install the software, simply add our podcast feed. The podcasting software will automatically check for new episodes and download the files to your computer. There are many free Podcasting applications available for download. Here are a select few:

Do I need an iPod to listen to podcasts?

No, an iPod is not required to listen to podcasts. All you need is a computer with software to play mp3 files. Every modern operating system (including Linux) comes with a player built-in. Just download and listen.

Can I only listen on my computer?

That's the good news. You can transfer any podcast to your portable mp3 player the same way you would digital music. Don’t have a portable device? You can also burn them to CD or DVD.
